As a lead-in to my upcoming book on disability, coming out in 2025, I’ll be participating in the Academy’s Day of Disability events on July 13th at the Academy Museum.
The event starts early in the morning but I’ll be participating in two events. At 4:30pm I’ll be moderating a panel on disability in entertainment. You can see me chat with my good friends, Crip Camp director Jim Lebrecht and Lawrence Carter-Long, as well as Nic Novicki, Jorge Gutierrez and Kaitlyn Yang.
Then, at 6:30pm, I’ll be moderating the post-screening Q&A with Lebrecht and Nicole Newnham after a screening of their award-nominated documentary Crip Camp.
It’s gonna be a great evening of programming!
